Seattle Business Magazine has named Mt. Baker Bio as the 2012 Small Business Innovator of the Year at the 2012 Washington State Manufacturing Awards. We received the Silver Award for Small Business at the Manufacturing Awards ceremony celebrating the nominated finalists on April 26th at 6:00pm at the Westin Hotel in Seattle.

Mt. Baker Bio President and CEO, Mickey Blake, will be honored as a featured Sustainability Innovator of the Year at the Seattle GoGreen Conference, April 25th, 2012.  The conference host is Virginia Mason Medical Center and is being held at the Washington State  Conference Center located at Eighth Avenue and Pike Street in Seattle.  Mickey will join other business leaders in a panel discussion of sustainable business innovation in our region.

WBBA Brings Together Leading Minds to Discuss the Future of Sustainable Science

Mt. Baker Bio President and CEO, Mickey Blake, will be a featured panelist at the Sustainable Science event Wednesday, May 22nd 7:30am-10:00am at the Agora Event Space at the Alexandria Center in Seattle hosted by the WBBA. The Sustainable Science event will bring together experts on laboratory sustainability from building design and use, products and services, and governmental incentive programs. 

Mt. Baker Bio goes to the White House

We are extremely honored to announce that Mt. Baker Bio has been selected by the White House to participate in the White House Business Leaders’ Forum on Jobs and Economic Competitiveness on Friday, November 4th in Washington, DC. The White House Business Counciland Business Forward are convening a day-long forum at the White House to gather feedback, perspective and guidance on employment, the economy and job creation. Forum topics will include innovation and open government, access to capital for small business, health care, energy, education, immigration and children’s health and wellness.
The White House Business Council has identified Mt. Baker Bio and 149 other small business leaders from across the nation to be the voice of small businesses regarding jobs and innovation. Mt. Baker Bio is currently featured on the White House website.

Seattle Business Magazine - Mt. Baker Bio Makes WA Green 50

On Wednesday, September 21 at the Fremont Studios, Mt. Baker Bio was named as one of Seattle Business magazine’s 50 greenest companies in the state. Mt. Baker Bio made the Washington Green 50 list and was included in the October edition of Seattle Business magazine.
Making this list demonstrates pronounced leadership in areas of sustainability, green practices, commitment to our environment and the future of our natural resources.
